Installing NetPBX
The Aastra BP phone system sends SMDR information via a serial connection. To collect the data from the serial port and send it to TIM Enterprise, you first need to install the NetPBX software.

<h2>Configuring your SMDR</h2>
<h4>BP firmware R12 or older</h4>
<p>If you are using firmware which is older than R12, you need to setup the SMDR output to <span class="keyword">CIL3</span>.</p>
<h4>BP firmware R13+</h4>
<p>If you are using firmware R13+, you will need to set the SMDR output to <span class="keyword">Flexible CIL</span> and configure the options as below:</p>

<h2>Configuring TIM Enterprise</h2>
<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Aastra BP:</p>
<ol>
<li>Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
<li>Click on the <span class="button no_margin">Directory</span> tab.</li>
<li>Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Aastra BP'.</li>
<li>Left-click on it and select <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>.</li>
<li>From the <span class="button no_margin">General</span> settings tab select <span class="keyword">Aastra BP</span> from the PBX model list.</li>

<li>In the <span class="button no_margin">Connection</span> tab select <span class="keyword">No connection required</span> from the <span class="reference">Connection method</span> list.</li>
<li>Finally, click on the <span class="button no_margin">Save</span> button.</li>

Configuring TIM Enterprise
Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log in to TIM Enterprise and perform the following steps:
- Click on the tab.
- Locate the PBX object you want to configure in the Directory, right-click on it and select Properties.
- A new window will open, displaying the general properties of you PBX object. Select Aastra BP from the Data format list and tick the

- Click on the button to apply the settings.
