Configuring your SMDR output
By default, the SMDR output of a Siemens HiPath 4000 phone system is not enabled. For information about how to configure the output for incoming, outgoing and internal calls, contact your system maintainer.

Configuring TIM Enterprise
Follow the steps below to configure TIM Enterprise to collect the SMDR data from your Siemens HiPath 4000:
- Click on the tab.
- Choose Locate the PBX object you want to configure and click in the Directory, right-click on it and select Properties.
- A new window will open. In the tab, select , displaying the general properties of your PBX object. Select Siemens HiPath 4000 from the Data format list and tick the the

- In the Host field, enter the IP address of your Siemens HiPath 4000.
- In the Port field, enter 9000.
- Leave the Username and Password fields blank.
- In the IP script field, select Generic Simple from the drop-down list.
- Click on the

The Siemens HiPath 4000 sends SMDR information via TCP/IP on a TCP port. TIM Enterprise will connect to the IP address of Siemens HiPath 4000.

<p>For your SMDR configuration, you will need to speak to your system maintainer to enable SMDR output.</p>
<h2>Configuring TIM Enterprise</h2>
<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to connect to your Siemens HiPath 4000 to receive SMDR:</p>
<ol>
<li>Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
<li>Click on the <span class="button no_margin">Directory</span> tab.</li>
<li>Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Siemens HiPath 4000'.</li>
<li>Left-click on it and select <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>.</li>
<li>From the <span class="button no_margin">General</span> settings tab select <span class="keyword">Siemens HiPath 4000</span> from the PBX model list.</li>

<li>In the <span class="button no_margin">Connection</span> tab select <span class="keyword">Establish TCP connection to PBX</span> from the <span class="reference">Connection method</span> list.</li>
<li>In the <span class="reference">Host</span> field enter in the IP Address of your Siemens HiPath 4000 e.g. 192.168.1.1.</li>
<li>In the <span class="reference">Port</span> field enter in <span class="keyword">9000</span>.</li>
<li>Leave the <span class="reference">Username</span> and <span class="reference">Password</span> fields blank.</li>
<li>In the <span class="reference">IP script</span> field select <span class="keyword">Generic Simple</span>.</li>
<li>Finally, click on the <span class="button no_margin">Save</span> button.</li>
