To keep your logins and data safe, TIM Plus can be configured to enable access via ( over ). To achieve this, you need a valid certificate issued by a certificate authority (CA), such as VeriSign or Thawte. The certificate should be a file in format. A will also be provided with the certificate.

To apply the certificate to TIM Plus, follow the steps below:

  1. Place the certificate in the following location of the main TIM Plus installation folder:
  2. Access Windows Registry Editor ( Start -> Run -> regedit.exe ) and go to the following Registry key:

    HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Tri-Line\TIM Plus\Main
  3. Add the following string values, amending the certificate name and password accordingly:

    String  nameString value

    SSLKey

    SSLCertificate

    SSLCertificatePassword

    SSLKeyPassword

  4. Change the server port registry entry to the SSL port 443, as shown below:

    443

  5. Go to Windows services and restart the TIM Plus service.
